Language Cafe

Order a coffee. Ask for directions. Survive a dinner party.

Dialogue practice for language learners. Four learners act out everyday scenes; each line appears on the prompter in English with a prompt to the speaker showing the phrase to translate and say in the target language. A teacher-host corrects gently between scenes. Target language is set in state and read by the teacher.

Roles

Talent roles are gated by tier; player roles are open to anyone who has verified their email. Any role can be covered by an AI understudy if the producer's fill policy allows it.

  • TeacherTalent · needs Featured+

Set the target language (state.language), frame each scene, let learners attempt each line in the target language from their prompt, and correct kindly between scenes. Model the phrase when someone is stuck.

Understudy persona: Profesora Ines — encouraging, repeats the correct phrase slowly, celebrates attempts

  • LearnerPlayer · open×4

Each of your lines shows the English on the prompter and a private prompt with the phrase to say in the target language. Attempt it; mistakes are the point. Ask the teacher if stuck.
